About the iDuctor

What is the iDuctor?

The iDuctor is a professional-grade induction heating tool — 100% Dutch-designed and built from high-quality materials. It generates a rapidly alternating electromagnetic field that heats ferrous metal components from the inside out, precisely where you need it.

Unlike a gas burner, the iDuctor heats only the metal you target. Surrounding materials — rubber seals, fuel lines, paintwork — stay cool and undamaged. The result: seized, rusted, or clamped components loosen in seconds.

  • Seized or rusted nuts and bolts
  • Spindles, nipples and bearings
  • Exhaust studs and brake components
  • Any iron-containing part, any size

The process

How does the iDuctor work?

Three steps from connection to disassembly.

01

Choose and attach the right coil

Select the spiral or flexible winding coil that fits the component you need to heat. The iDuctor’s unique, patented clamping mechanism lets you swap coils manually in seconds — no tools required. Metric spirals in multiple sizes and flexible coils cover virtually every application.

02

Set time and power

The iDuctor is microprocessor-controlled, which prevents overloading during use. Time and power are easily adjustable on the unit itself. In practice, you rarely need to heat metal until it’s red-hot — the difference in thermal expansion between the bolt and its housing is enough to free the component.

03

Heat and disassemble

Apply the coil to the ferrous component and let induction do its work. Within tens of seconds, the targeted part is heated enough for disassembly. Because induction heats from the inside, the outer structural component expands differentially from its housing — making removal effortless.

No more gas burners

Why not just use a torch?

When ferrous components are in locations that regularly get hot, vibrate, oxidise or corrode, a gas burner was once the only option. But it comes with serious drawbacks:

  1. Open flame at the workplace is dangerous — and often prohibited in industrial environments.
  2. Supervision is legally required — meaning a second person is always needed on site.
  3. No precision — a torch heats everything in range: fuel lines, wiring, sensors, seals.

The iDuctor eliminates all three problems. No flame, no supervision requirement, and heat exactly where you want it.

Pro tip

Always use the right coil for the component size. Avoid overheating — in practice it is not necessary to heat metal until red-hot. Too high temperatures can degrade the metal and damage the coil. Images on this website showing red-hot metal are for demonstration purposes only.
